Forza Horizon 5 PS5 Price Cost And Edition Details
Forza Horizon 5 has officially expanded its horizon beyond Microsoft platforms to arrive on PlayStation 5 consoles, marking a historic shift for the acclaimed open-world racing franchise. PlayStation enthusiasts can now explore the vibrant biomes of Mexico complete with tailored DualSense features and cross-play support. Understanding the various purchasing tiers and pricing options is essential for players deciding which version fits their driving style best.
Base Pricing and Platform Value
The Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 5 launches on the PlayStation Store at the standard full price of $59.99 USD. This base release includes the complete core campaign across Mexico, featuring dynamic seasonal weather events and hundreds of customizable vehicles. For players seeking purely the core driving experience without additional DLC add-ons, this tier provides complete access to all main online modes.
Deluxe and Premium Edition Perks
Stepping up to the higher digital tiers grants extensive extra content designed for dedicated racing enthusiasts. The Deluxe Edition includes the full base game along with the Car Pass, adding dozens of additional vehicles over time. Meanwhile, the Premium Edition offers the ultimate bundle by combining the base game, Car Pass, Welcome Pack, VIP Membership, and both major expansions.
Major Expansions and Additional Bundles
A key advantage of opting for the higher-tier packages is immediate access to two massive post-launch expansions. The Hot Wheels expansion introduces high-speed orange tracks suspended in the clouds, while the Rally Adventure expansion brings rugged off-road tracks and fresh campaign challenges. These expansions significantly broaden the gameplay loop beyond the main Mexican map.
Digital Distribution and Account Setup
PlayStation 5 players should note that Forza Horizon 5 is released strictly as a digital title without a physical disc release. To access online multiplayer sessions or cross-platform features with friends on PC and Xbox, a Microsoft account connection is required upon initial boot-up. Additionally, PlayStation Plus is necessary to join online lobbies and participate in multiplayer races.
